Ann Meeks
Services for Ann Meeks, 75, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. James G. Nunn officiating.
Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock.
She died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002.
She was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Quanah and graduated Kirkland High School and Draughon's Business College. She provided bookkeeping and tax services for various businesses for more than 50 years.
She owned and operated Meeks Day Care Center from 1976 to 1985 and owned the Town House Restaurant from 1985 until 1992. She was a charter member of Western Hills Baptist Church and belonged to the George S. Berry Post 575 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Gregory and Angelee Carter, both of Lubbock; a brother, Morris Deatherage of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
