Virginia E. Prudhomme born to James De Lane and Almira Virginia Wilson on 24 Sep 1875 in Spokane, Spokane Co., Washington. The family moved to Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon by 1920. Virginia went to Oregon State University where she met and married Robert James Black (1908-1989) on 13 May 1933 in Portland, Multnomah Co., OR. They had two children here: 1) Robert James Black, Jr (b. 1934 ) and 2) Barbara Joann Black Mazzola (b. 1937 )(Francisco "Frank" Mazzola) In 1940, her husband, Robert, was employed as a sales manager for an engraving company. By 1947, he moved the family to Los Angeles Co., CA . Robert died in Studio City, Los Angeles Co., CA in 1989 at the age of 81 yrs. He was cremated by the Neptune Society of Los Angeles and ashes were scattered at sea. His wife, Virginia, remained in Studio City until her death in 2003. Her remains were also cremated by the Neptune Society of Los Angeles and the ashes spread over the Pacific Ocean.
