Born on February 5, 1952 in LaPorte County, she was the daughter of James Cowgill Sr. and Mary (Spradling) Cowgill.
Growing up in the LaPorte area, Peggy graduated from LaPorte High School with the class of 1970. Moving to Northeast Indiana in 1986, she met Stan Bolen while waitressing in Kendallville. They were married August 12, 1995 in Kendallville. She enjoyed all things outdoors but especially enjoyed fishing, gardening and, when her health began to fail, she found joy in watching the birds outside her window. She was also an avid fan of true crime television and enjoyed watching the Investigation Discovery network.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 20 years, Stan Bolen of Columbia City; children, Ralph (Jill) Worthey of LaPorte, Ron (Carrie) Worthey of Kendallville and Tracy (Randy) Perry of Mishawaka; mother, Mary Cowgill of LaPorte; brother, Ron (Julia) Cowgill of Alabama; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and brothers, James Cowgill Jr. and Albert Cowgill.
Funeral service will be held at 4p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, Ind. with visitation one hour prior. Certified Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus will be officiating.
