Bernard C. Conlee passed away in his Florida home on Saturday, July 11, 2015. He was 90.

Bernard was raised in Jamestown, Kansas. He began working on the farm in his early youth. This set the stage for Bernard to have a strong work ethic all his life.

Bernard went into the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served in the Pacific on the carrier USS Langley. While stationed in Philadelphia, he met and married the love of his life, the late Catherine Owens Conlee. They were married for 63 years.

Most of Bernard's work career was at McGuire Air Force Base, where he worked for the Dept. of Civil Engineers.

Brother of the late Dick Conlee, Bob Conlee, Treva Bowen, and Beth Boissel, he is survived by two beloved children, Sally McVey (Richard) and Bernie Conlee; a cherished granddaughter, Carolyn Conlee; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Conlee (Judy); two brothers-in-law, Jerry Bowen and Raymond Rock; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, July 20 at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 260 High St., Mount Holly, NJ 08060, where a viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church at the above address or Gulfside Hospice, 2061 Collier Pkwy., Land O' Lakes, FL 34639.
