Died from a heart attack at Recreation Field sitting in a chair while selling tickets to a baseball game. A native of Whitehall, he was the son of the late Henry Blanchard and Mary Frances Richards Blanchard. Survivors are his wife, Maude Mary Cooke Blanchard, four sons, Charles, Leo, Joseph and Walter. Three daughters, Mrs. Kimball Cooper, Mrs. Otis Sayers and Miss Helen Blanchard.
