Obituary from "Messenger of Truth" Vol. 113, No. 14, July 8, 2015:

Harvey Becker was born on March 30, 1923, in McPherson County, Kansas, to John and Nettie Decker Becker. At the age of ninety-two years, he peacefully passed away with loved ones at his side at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge, Kansas, on May 26, 2015.
At twenty years of age, our dad heard God's call and accepted the plan of salvation. He was baptized in the Lone Tree Church by Min. John A. Becker in 1943, becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. He remained faithful to his vows and assured us that he was ready to go.
His childhood years were spent in central and western Kansas. On August 6, 1944, he was joined in marriage to Lena Nikkel, Inman, Kansas, with whom he shared the joys and sorrows of life for forty-nine years. To this union, five children were born, two of whom died in infancy. They farmed in the Marquette area north of Inman, Kansas. In 1961, our parents moved to Louisville, Georgia, settling on a dairy farm. Seven years later he suffered the loss of his left leg in a farm accident. Facing this with fortitude, he continued to provide for his family. Our parents moved to Mississippi, living briefly at Clarksdale, then relocating to the Brooksville area. He was a farmer by occupation.
Our mother passed away February 14, 1992, leaving Dad very lonely. After two years, Dad moved to Lobelville, Tennessee, where he enjoyed providing taxi service for the horse and buggy community. During this time of his life, he traveled to different states and countries, which provided him many experiences and memories he loved to share. In the fall of 1999, our father moved again to Louisville, Georgia, where he helped his son by hauling plants for several years.
After being alone for nine years, God gave him another companion in Martha Hughes. They were married March 4, 2001, in Fredonia, Kansas. Dad accepted Martha's large family and loved them. They enjoyed life together, living in Georgia for five years. In 2006, they moved to Fredonia, Kansas, to be closer to her daughters, who lovingly cared for our parents. In December of 2009, they moved to Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas. On November 13, 2011, God called Martha home, leaving Dad lonely once again. In March of 2012, Dad returned to Georgia. He took a special interest in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We loved our dad and are thankful for the example he left us. He taught us the value of hard work. He often expressed a concern that all his family would be saved. He believed the Bible was the final authority, reading through it several times.
Due to health reasons, he again returned to Moundridge Manor at the end of April, where he resided for a little less than a month until God called him to his reward.
He is survived by his three children: Wayne, Millington, Tennessee; LaVonne and Gilbert Toews, Whitemouth, Manitoba; Galen and Julie, Avera, Georgia; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; stepchildren: Ann and Estel North, McVeytown, Pennsylvania; Linda Wohlgemuth, Crooked Creek, Alberta; Carolyn and Arnold Blosser, Fredonia, Kansas; Paul and Gail Hughes, Hazelton, Idaho; Edwin and Karen Hughes, Versailles, Missouri; Daniel and Cynthia Hughes, Hydro, Oklahoma; thirty-three stepgrandchildren; 101 stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Della Spann; brother, Charlie Becker; brothers-in-law: Jona and Diana Nikkel, Frank Giesbrecht, Chester and Laverna Unruh, Russell and Dorothy Unruh; sisters-in-law: Margaret Friesen and Delma Nikkel; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, both wives, two infant daughters, two brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services were held May 31, 2015, at the Harmony Springs Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Avera, Georgia, with Ministers Verle Giesbrecht, Lee Unruh, and Maynard Peters in charge. Burial was in the Harmony Springs Church Cemetery, Avera, Georgia.
