Alwyn Bell Robbie Robertson, 96 of 901 Halstead Blvd, Elizabeth City, NC, died Friday, July 10, 2015, at Kindred Care Nursing Home. A native of Williamsburg, VA, he was the son of the late Boone McCutcheon Robertson and Juanita Mae Campbell Robertson, and the widower of Agnes Woods Robertson. He was an office equipment repairman and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, having served in the South Pacific, and was a Gideon. He is survived by a son, Dennis Wayne Robertson and his wife Kelly of Chesapeake, VA; four grandchildren, one step-grandchild; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; one niece; and four nephews. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Donna Faye Nolan; a granddaughter, Cheyenne Robertson; a sister, Pauline Frances Cross; and two brothers, Shirley Campbell Robertson and Homer Robertson. A funeral service will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Elizabeth City, NC.
