EFFIE HARTNETT: Platteville; 75, passed away Monday at the home of her daughter: Mrs. Edwin Goke. She had been in poor health for several months. Mrs. Hartnett was born in Ellenboro Twp where she grew to womanhood. Following her marriage she lived on farms in Harrison and Lima Townships, she then lived in Marshfield for 1 year. For the past 20 years she has lived in the city of Platteville. As a young woman she joined the Methodist Church at Whig and later became a member of the Latter Day Saints at Oak Ridge. Survivors include 3 sons: Earl and Joseph, Platteville; Noel, Lancaster; 2 daughters: Mrs. Violet Burrows, Dubuque and Mrs. Josephine Goke, Platteville, 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband, Harry Hartnett passed away last December. Services will be held today at Karrmann Funeral Home. Elder James Daugherty-Sparta will officiate. Burial will take place in the family lot in Whig Cemetery.
