Daniel M. Dacy, 1024 North Fourth street, a locomotive engineer of the C. & I. M. railroad, died at 11:50 a.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital following an illness of four months.
Mr. Dacy was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
He is survived by three daughters, Misses Bernadine and Margaret Dacy, and Mrs. Michael Connolly, all of Springfield; three brothers, William and James, both of Springfield; and Patrick, Michigan City, Ind.; five sisters, Miss Lizzie Dacy and Mrs. Ernest Mester, both of Lancaster, Pa.; Mrs. Arch Aimen, Peoria; and Mrs. Margaret Costello and Mrs. George Senger, both of Springfield. Two grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Joseph's church. Rev. J.F. Meara will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
