TISHOMINGO – Funeral services for Arthur Neale Askew, 65, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Corbin Chapel of the Corbin-Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Hancock officiating. Interment followed in the Tishomingo City Cemetery.
Mr. Askew was born on October 1, 1927 and died February 14, 1993 in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was retired from the U.S. Air force where he served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam conflict as a fighter pilot. Lucie preceded him in death on August 11, 1990.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Arthur N. and Hester Askew and by a son, Mark Askew on December 2, 1991.
He is survived by one son, Neal Askew of Aiken, South Carolina.
Pallbearers for the service were Guy Combes, Chris Wheeler. Honorary Bearers were Keith Parks and Col. Hank Sanders.
Services were conducted by the Corbin Clark Funeral Home.
