Douglas Ray Adair, 70, of 115 Pine Street, Cowpens, S.C. passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at his residence.

Born in Rutherfordton, N.C., he was the husband of the late Sylvia Jean Brown Adair and the son of the late Howard Adair and Nellie Blanken.

He was a member of the National Guard and Army Reserve, a retired machinist and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two sons, David Adair and wife, Krystal of Cowpens and Anthony Adair of Spartanburg; three brothers, Gene Arthur Adair, William Franklin Adair, both of Converse and James Robert Adair of Cowpens; a sister Carolyn Cook; and five grandchildren, Devin Adair, Megan Adair, Thomas Adair, Isabella Adair and Jeffrey Gardner.

He was preceded in death by a brother Howard Dean Adair and three sisters, Patsy Bartlett, Mabel Cantrell and Trudy Millwood.

The family will be at their respective homes.
