DEAN, Eva May, age 92, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. She was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on April 10, 1923, to Carlton Allen and Maude Barnes Allen. She was a member of the Little Marrowbone Church of Christ, a homemaker and a caregiver. During WWII, she was a factory worker in Michigan and was known as “Rosie the Riveter” in the factory. She is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: E.C., Aaron and Donald Allen. She is survived by her husband, Edward Dean; son, James “Buddy” Moon (Carolyn); daughters, Shirley Bryce (Vick) and Jan Minchey (Randy); brother, Leon Allen (Robin); sisters, Lillian Stone (Wally) and Pearl Brizendine; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and her beloved granddog, Peppy. Funeral service will be Friday, July 24, 2015, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 2pm to 7pm and on Friday before the service from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
