-MACON -Phillip Jeffrey (Jeff) Langley, 35, of Macon, died Monday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Central Fellowship Baptist Church with interment in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Rodney Queen will officiate. The family will meet friends from 7-9 PM Tuesday at Snow's Pio Nono Chapel. The family suggests that donations be made to the education fund for his children, Carra Shea Langley and Alaina Logan Langley, 115 Tyler Court, Macon, Georgia 31216. -Mr. Langley was born in Macon and was a graduate of Windsor Academy in 1989. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having been honorably discharged in 1994 after four years of service in military intelligence and played in the Navy Baseball League. While in the Navy, he served a tour of duty with Operation Desert Storm and received several Naval citations. Mr. Langley was employed by the Bibb County Sheriff's Department on August 5, 2002 as a Deputy Sheriff assigned to the Corrections Division. While serving in the Corrections Division, Deputy Langley was a member of the STAT team. During his training for certification as a Peace Officer in 2004, Deputy Langley was voted Class President by his peers, and was recognized for achieving an academic average of 95 or above. At his request and with the recommendations of his supervisors, Deputy Langley was transferred to the Drug Unit in September of 2005. Deputy Langley attended Central Fellowship Baptist Church -Deputy Langley was a loving father, beloved son and brother being survived by his two daughters; Carra Shea Langley and Alaina Logan Langley both of Macon and their mother; Kelli Langley of Macon, his parents; Phil and Linda Langley of Macon, his sisters and brothers in law; Lisa and Eric Lee of Macon, and Lori and Dennis Phillipy of Tampa, Florida, maternal grandmother; Mary Dolores Fulwood of Macon, paternal grandmother; Virtice Langley of Macon, 3 nieces and a nephew and several aunts and uncles. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
