Katherine McClung Abbott was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Everton J. Abbott of St. Paul, Minnesota. She was active in the Community Chest and had been presented with a life membership in the organization. She was a resident of 535 Grand Avenue in St. Paul. She died at age 64 on Thursday, October 3, 1946. Survivors included two brothers: Dr. John S. Abbott and Theodore Abbott and two sisters: Lorena and Rachel Abbott, all of St. Paul. Services were held at the Church of St. John the Evangelist in St. Paul. Interment was at Oakland Cemetery.
