Lovina Bishop was born in 1789 -1790 per the census records. Her father was Jacob Bishop of Norwalk, CT and Lydia Weed, his wife. Originally, her parents were thought to be Abijah and Suzanne Holly Bishop of Stamford, CT. according to the Barbour Collection. However, a tombstone in St. John's and Saint Andrew's Episcopal Cemetery, Stamford, Fairfield County Connecticut dispelled that connection. It stated the dau of Abijah and Suzanne died with out issue and a spinster. Recently the will of Jacob Bishop, of Norwalk, Fairfield County, CT was found. He named his 8 children, with the daughters married names and Lavinia[sic] and Lewis Weed, his son-in-law, were listed.

Lovina married Lewis Weed bef. 1809 probably in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut. Her husband, Lewis Weed, was born in 1787.
