He was a retired junior high school teacher and principal, a Navy veteran, a member of First Baptist Church in Poteau, the LeFlore County Retired Teachers Association, the Rotary Club, a 32nd degree Mason, a graduate of OU, attended Notre Dame and Georgetown University, was a rancher and the widower of Patsy Branscum.
Survived by his wife; a daughter; two stepsons; and five grandchildren.
