Anthony came to America with his parents on the ship Hermann. The ship left from Bremen, Germany and arrived in the port of Baltimore, Maryland on April 30, 1891 when he was only a year and three months old. Traveling with them on the same ship were his Uncle Antoni Cerbin and his wife, Aunt Maryanna Cerbin. (His Uncle Antoni and his Aunt Maryanna names were listed on the passenger list as Cerbin, but in America they went by Serbin.)

Anthony Cerbin and his wife Frances Sendabry were married in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Together they had two sons, Ben Anthony Cerbin and Richard Cerbin.

Anthony fought in WW I in the Navy.

His funeral Mass was held at Epiphany Church on June 27, 1966 at 10:30 A.M. in Chicago, Cook Co. Illinois.
