HAYNIE - - Mrs. J.O. (Bessie) Haynie died in Scranton, Kan. on July 30 at the age of 94.
Mrs. Haynie was born on September 16, 1881 in Burlington Junction, Mo. She was united in marriage to Jessie O. Haynie in Glenwood on July 18, 1903. Preceding her in death are her husband and two daughters, LaVon Addleman and Geraldine Gallentine.
Surviving are five sons, Guy, Bill, Paul, Elmer and Donald; two daughters, Hazel and Elsie; 38 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Roland, Vern, George and Sidney Moore.
Services were held on Aug. 2 at the Raynor, Lett and Kent Funeral Home with the Rev. George Durkee officiating. Interment was in Waubonsie Cemetery.
Casket bearers were: Lloyd Haynie, Cletis Haynie, Donald Haynie, Donald Haynie, Jr., Raymond Haynie and Dale Addleman.
