RIVERDALE - Belva Jean Birch Samuels, 86, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2003.

She was born September 22, 1916, in Lyman, Idaho, to Joseph Malanbert Birch and Sadie Vada Shaw Birch.

She married Arthur William Stark on May 2, 1933. They had two children and were later divorced.

She married James Hunsaker and they were later divorced.

She then married Thomas Samuels.

Belva worked for DDO in the motor pool during World War II. While living in California, she worked as a motel maid. Belva enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, and especially enjoyed her family.

She is survived by two sons, William A. Stark and his son Jonathan Stark, of Riverdale; and Clyde Stark and his wife Ann, of Ogden. She is also survived by two brothers, Lue S. Birch and his wife Lucile, and Rob Roy Birch, all of Ogden. Belva is also survived by eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Belva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas, four sisters, and three brothers.
