Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Mike Baker officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Newton.
Mr. Meeks was bom on August 16, 1953, in Olney, the son of Russell James and Dortha (Wilson) Meeks.
He attended Newton Free Methodist Church. He was a truck driver for several years and worked in saw mills with is father. He enjoyed playing music, camping, fishing, deer hunting and spending time with his friends, family and his little dogs. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David Meeks and his wife, Betty, of Newton, and Stacy of Newton; and a sister, Judy Cornwell and her husband Darrell, of Newton.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
