Kenneth Eugene Lowry, age 88, of Marion passed away early Saturday morning at his home.

Born in Marion on October 1, 1926 to Harry and Almina (Morgan) Lowry, he married the former Ruth Ellis on April 15, 1954 and she preceded him in death in 2003.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter; Marsha Hunley in 2004.

A veteran of the United States Army, Kenneth served in Korea and had worked for the DCSC until his retirement.

Surviving are his grandson; Gary (Darcy) Hunley, his 2 granddaughters; Kathy Richards and Heather Hunley and a great-grandson; David Richards.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at 11:00 AM in the Marion Cemetery with Pastor Brent Longstreth officiating. Burial will follow. Military honors will be observed by the Marion County Joint Veteran’s Council.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kenneth’s memory may be made to the Shepherd’s Fellowship Church.
