Bob Daniels, 70, Valliant, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at his residence.

He was born July 6, 1930, at Telephone, Texas, the son of R.C. and Lizzie Daniels. He married Violet Moran on Sept. 28, 1979, at Hugo.

He was a retired law enforcement officer, was involved in ranching, and had worked for the county for several years. Bob was a member of the Church of Christ and had lived in this area most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jessie Daniels in 1970; one son, Bryan Daniels; and two sisters, Ozella Farris and Roma Farris.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Daniels, Mesquite, Texas; two sons, Mike Daniels of Germany and Bobby Daniels, Mesquite, Texas; two stepsons, R.L. Talley, Valliant and J.E. Talley, Wright City; one stepdaughter, Diane Sanders of California; one grand-daughter, Kylee Daniels, Houston, Texas; two brothers, Coy Daniels, Valliant and Dan Daniels of California; two sisters, Pauline Evans, Idabel and Betty Sue DeBelle of California; four step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were at 2 p.m. today, Jan.23, at Slim Church of Christ in the Mound Grove community with Jim Staggs officiating. Interment followed in Moran Cemetery.
