He was reared in James City and educated through the Craven County School System. He served his country honorably in the U. S. Navy, U. S. Army and the U. S. Air Force retiring after thirty years of proud service as a MSGT.
His funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2015 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel. Burial will military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail F. Bullock of Pollocksville; four sons, Franklin I. Fisher, Sr. of Scramento, CA, Mickey Dwayne Fisher of Durham, NC, Mark Kenneth Fisher of Stone Mountain, NC and Gary Fisher of Pollocksville; his siblings, Norma F. Godette of New Bern, Herbert Fisher, Jr.of Walla Walla, WA and Ludie Baker of Washington, DC; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
