Forrest Alden Cox, 66, of Beaver, died Monday at home of natural causes.
Born Nov. 10, 1914, in Thurmond, he was a son of the late Thomas Edgar and Marshie Taylor Cox.
Mr. Cox was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church where he was a trustee, member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and retired from the Norfolk and Western Railways with 37 years of service.
A sister, Lynetta Jones, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Jean Lilly Cox; two daughters, Mrs. Barry (Susie) Stanley of Daniels and Mrs. Wayne (Helena) Ellis of Beaver and four grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Beaver United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Wilfong officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.
Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Melton Mortuary in Beckley and at the church one hour before the service.
Paulbearers will be Alvin Thompson, Carl Johnson, Philip Croy, W.J. Hedrick, Dewey Lilly Sr., Butch Cook, Eddie Stewart, J.D. Brakefield and D. D Brakefield.
