Ruth Anna Alban, 83, of Manchester, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at her home. Born November 30, 1931 in Parkton, she was daughter of the late R. Webster Burns and Edith Anna Redding Burns. She was the wife of the late Sterling A. Alban, her husband of 55 years, who died in 2012. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working on the family farm. Surviving her are her children Cathy Martin and husband Wesley, Sr. of Hampstead, Sterling Scott Alban and wife Joyce Ann of Manchester, and Earl Eugene Alban of Manchester; her grandchildren Wesley Martin, Jr., Ashley Martin, Lisa Myers, and Bradley Alban; and her great-grandchildren Madison Myers, Lucas Myers, and Cole Martin. She was predeceased by her siblings Rodney Burns and Charlotte Dehoff. The family will receive friends 11 a.m., until time of funeral service, Noon Thursday at the ECKHRDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester.
