Bill Standerford, 79, a longtime Wenatchee and Waterville, WA resident, died Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2014, in a Wenatchee hospital. He was born in Little Rock, AR on January 29, 1935. In 1945, Bill moved with his family to the Wenatchee area, where he attended grade school and high school. On June 1, 1958, he married Corinne McVeigh and to this union four daughters were born. In 1977, the family moved to Waterville, where he had since resided. In 1984, he married Mildred Latumbo in the Philippines. Bill spent many years at Joe Welty Ford as a detailer and truck driver. He had a saddle shop in Waterville for a few years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lena, in 2003; his parents; and a brother. Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Waterville; daughters, Denette (Russel) Stroud of East Wenatchee, and Robie (Eric) Wright and Sheila (Lyle) Eggers, both of Waterville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill was a man full of dreams; he had a sense of humor with a positive outlook in life that, if he could change the way of life of a person, because of his generosity, that would make him happy.
