Ed C. Cherry, Beaumont jeweler and real estate man, died in a local hospital Saturday, at 2:25 p.m. The 72 year old man was born in Seguin and moved to Beaumont in 1903. He owned the Cherry Jewelry company and the Cherry Building. Surviving are his wife and a son, Edward L. Cherry, both of Beaumont. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Pipkin and Brulin parlors with the Rev. George F. Cameron officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery.
