Elmer W. Ness of Windsor died March 11 at Manor Care Health Services Dallastown. He was 88.
Mr. Ness worked as an overhead crane operator with Harding Manufacturers and later with Koppersmiths in York before his retirement.
Born in Springfield Township Feb 29, 1912, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Reaver Ness. He was the husband of the late Minnie E. Harrison Ness whom he married in York County on December 3, 1932.
He leaves four daughters, Joy A. Dellinger and Marie M. Bell, both of York, Eleanor r. Krout of Windsor and Virginia M. Weller of Virginia Beach, Va; three sons, Larry l Ness of York, Clark E. Ness of Windsor and Elwood C. Ness of Annapolis, Md; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and a brother, Charles Ness of York.
Viewing will be at Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Dallastown. The service will be at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus.
