Mrs. Clara Edith Wilson 61, died at 9:20 o'clock Monday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Russell Meeks of Newton.
Funeral arrangements were in-complete Monday pending word from distant relatives. The body was taken to the Reese funeral home. Services will be conducted at the Free Methodist church in Newton with Rev. Ina Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Brockville cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born Oct. 2, 1893, the daughter of Andy and Martha (Clark) McKimmey. She was married to William H. Wilson, who preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1952.
Surviving are five sons, Victor and Merl Wilson of Newton, Vernard of Gary Ind, Eddie of Mattoon and Wayne of Ft. Carson, Colo; seven daughters, Mrs. Carmine Miller, Mrs. Cleda Worthey and Mrs. Fern Meeks of Newton, Mrs. Martha Cramer and Mrs. Jewel Utley of Hammond, Ind, Mrs. Retha Curtis of the state of Washington, and Mrs. Dora Weck of Mattoon; one brother, Otto McKimmey of Paris; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Chapman of Newton, Mrs. Mattie Short of Willow Hill, Mrs. Ella Sreech of Paris and Mrs. Hanna Miller of Logansport, Ind.; 28 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
