Ruby Leo Dodd Haden, 97 of Shay, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at her home in Shay. She was born on July 9, 1918 in Marshall County, Oklahoma to the late Ruie Driver and Maggie Townsley Driver. Ruby was raised in Shay and graduated from the Kingston High School in 1937. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Masters in Behavior Studies at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Ruby married Charlie Dodd and he preceded her in death. She later married Ed Haden and he also preceded her in death. Ruby taught school at Shay, Enos, Kingston, Boise City, Oklahoma, California and Madill before she retired in 1983 after 41 years of teaching. She was a member Delta Kappa Gamma, OPC and was proud to be a Chickasaw. Ruby enjoyed playing games, watching birds, flowers and the county life of Shay.

She is survived by:

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands; Charles Dodd and Ed Haden, 1 brother; Cleburn Driver, 1 sister; Lois Driver Burke and step daughter; Nancy Lloyd.
