Floyd Elden "Par" Braithwaite, 50, died November 30, 1997, at his residence.

He was born on March 14, 1947, and has resided in Reno, Nevada for the past 30 years.

Par attended Elko High School and graduated from the University of Oregon.

He married Jerry Lynn Copenhaver on February 26, 1966 in Elko, Nevada. They had one daughter, Nicole Lee Braithwaite. They were later divorced on November 18, 1970 in Elko, Nevada.

He had tended bar at Brickies Tavern for the last 10 years.

Surviving are mother and father, Reed and Lorraine Braithwaite, of Elko, Nevada; daughter, Nicole Lee, and grandchild, Sierra Lynn Allred, brothers, Johnnie of Elko, Rusty of Elko; a sister, Debbie, of Hawaii; and many special friends.

No funeral is scheduled. A wake in celebration of Par's life will be held at Brickies Tavern, Reno, Nevada on Thursday afternoon.
