William Joseph Evans was born in Botetourt Virginia in 1856. He moved with his family to Auburn Montgomery Virginia when he was 12 years old. He had a daughter Minnie Victoria Evans in 1877 by his first wife and after her death he married Sarah Jane Thorn in 1879. They went on to have 6 more children . William died in 1931.
