John Arthur lived his entire life in Hamilton County, Indiana. He was the father of Harry Arthur and grandfather of Betty Boyer, Lucile Davis, and Alice Harrison.

JOHN E. ARTHUR DIES MONDAY AT AGE OF 93

John E. Arthur, 93, retired farmer and a life-long resident of the Fishers community, passed away Monday noon at the Hamilton Rest Home.

The deceased was born in Fishers where he was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Otterbein Brother and Sisterhood. He was a farmer until his retirement some years ago.

Funeral services will be held at the Fishers Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. D. K. Fineh officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services. Friends may call at the Evans, Godby, and Trout Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tonight.

Mr. Arthur is survived by two daughter-in-laws, Mrs. Dallie Arthur, of Fortville, and Mrs. Harry Arthur, of Sheridan, six grandchildren: Mable Renforth, Mohawk, Ind., Alice Harrison, Indianapolis, Janet Rae Arthur, Fortville, Lucille Davis, Indianapolis, Betty Boyer, Sheridan, and Russell E Arthur, Mexico City. Also, surviving are eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will occur in Highland Cemetery.
