Mildred Eulalia Absher, 72, of Santa Anna and formerly of Roscoe, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday in Ranger Park Inn in Santa Anna.
Services will be at 10 a.m. at the First Church of God with the Revs. Roy DeBusk and George Harrington officiating. Burial will be in the Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Born May 9, 1904 [sic] in Fisher County, she married Virgil Roland Absher on May 5, 1931 in Lovington, N.M.
She was a beautician and had lived in Roscoe for 20 years before moving to Santa Anna three years ago.
She was preceded in death by one daughter and one brother.
Survivors include one daughter, Mickey Sacra of Houston; one son, Gary Absher of Santa Anna; five sisters, Mrs. Leslie Mertis Wells of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Roy "Alene" DeBusk of Sweetwater, Mrs. Louis "Katherine" Oder of Friendswood, and Mrs. Howard "Sigra" Tamery and Mrs. Oscar "Bennie" Nipper, both of Houston; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Paul "Virginia" Tapp of Pecos; and one brother-in-law, Nolan Absher of Sweetwater.
Pallbearers will be Nolan Absher, Earl DeBusk, Buddy Ray, Buster Landers, Garland Price and Turner May.
