Richard “Dick” James Arneson, age 72, of rural Ettrick, died on Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Mayo Clinic Health System in LaCrosse.

Dick was born on December 10, 1942 in Whitehall to James Basil and Mabel (Erickson) Arneson. He married Mary Lou Brenengen on October 26, 1963 in the Living Hope Church in Ettrick. They later divorced. Dick married Ruth Ann Graff on April 21, 1979 in the North Beaver Creek First Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick and they later divorced.

Dick farmed in the town of Franklin and was employed as the vehicle maintenance supervisor for Ashley Furniture Industries in Arcadia. He later was the road supervisor for the town of Franklin.

Dick enjoyed fishing and restoring old tractors and farm machinery. He was active in the Beach community and was the founder of the Beaches Corner Classic Tractor Club.

Dick is survived by his son, Alan Jacob (Becky) Arneson of rural Ettrick; two grandchildren, Caleb and Hewitt Arneson of rural Ettrick; his twin brother, Robert Arneson of rural Ettrick and a sister, Beverly Hoff of Hortonville.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
