Margie B. Brown 90, of Amarillo died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015.

Vigil will be at 6 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday in Saint Mary’s Cathedral. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Margie was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Coolidge to Jeff and Lora Bennett. She grew up in Coolidge and married Carl A. Brown in Memphis, Tenn., in 1953. They eventually moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where they lived for more than 30 years, operating their own accounting business. After Carl passed away in 1983, Margie moved to Amarillo in 1985, where she enjoyed her retirement. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Cathedral. Margie was also a member of the Rebekahs and enjoyed playing dominoes, both 88 and 42.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include her son, Carl A. Brown II of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter St., Suite 404, Amarillo, TX 79106.
