Patricia Ann Collins, 78, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 2, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 19, 1937 in Hoboken, GA to the late Daniel W. & Sally (Carter) Dowling.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Alvin T. Collins Jr.; son, Daniel C. Collins and great granddaughter, Charlotte Alondra Piragine.
She worked several years for Duval County School Board. Patricia also enjoyed her many travels abroad.
Survivors include her four daughters, Vicky Reid (John), Paula Sing (Donnie), Pamela Collins, Susan Piepoli (Bob); granddaughters, Laurie Thomas (Reid), Whitney Vargas (Piragine), Lindsay Bass (Sing), Ashley Crews-Saucedo, Kathryn Price; grandsons, John Adam Reid, Christopher Price, Joseph Piragine Jr., Troy TJ Crews Jr.; 7 great grandchildren and a large extended family as well as many close and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6 at 11am at North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 North Main St 32218, where she was a long-time member. Interment will follow in Evergreen cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd.
