Services for James Corrnell Gantt, 52, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Ahloso First Baptist Church, Brother Wayne Graves will officiate. Burial will follow a Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
James Corrnell Gantt passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015. He was born to Solomon and Barbara Kelly Gantt March 31, 1963 in Stuttgart, Germany.
Corrnell was a member of Ahloso Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army from 1986 – 1993 and the Army National Guard from 1989 – 1993, during Desert Storm in 1991. He worked as a bricklayer, for Solo Cup, for Hudson House Moving and in the oil field.
Survivors include two daughters, Lillian Roxanna Gantt of Stonewall and Stacy Gantt Blackwood and husband Kevin of Ada; his parents, Solomon and Barbara Gantt, Ada; one sister, Catherine Hice and husband Steven of Ada; one uncle, Virgil Gantt and wife Sharon of Hardin City; nephew, Shaun Garrison and wife Jaime; niece, Shandi Gibson; and great nieces, Silver Garrison and Layla Smith.
Bearers will be Shaun Garrison, Virgil Gantt, Greg Gantt, Brett Gantt, Jason Goodknight, Jamie Smith and Sandy Schutte. Honorary bearer will be Randy Hudson.
