The deceased was born in Finland, February 3, 1881. He came to the Gogebic range 44 years ago, where he resided for 15 years before moving to Van Buskirk.
Surviving are his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Joe Ruppe, of Ironwood, Mrs. Jack Haig, of Boulder Junction, and Mrs. Gabriel Maki, of Eveleth, Minn.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Charbonneau funeral home in Hurley, with Ernest Koski, of Ironwood, as the speaker. Burial was in the Hurley Cemetery.
