Newton Press--October 21, 1952
William Henry Wilson, 63, died at his home at the north edge of Newton about 2:30 Friday afternoon following a heart attack. He had suffered from a heart ailment for some time.
Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Free Methodist church, with Rev. Ina Ellis officiating. Burial was in Brockville with the Reed Service in charge.
Surviving in addition to the wife are five sons, Vernard of Gary, Ind., Victor of Newton, Eddie of Mattoon, Wayne of Hammond, Ind., and Pvt. Merle Wilson, who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany; seven daughters, Mrs. Carmen Miller of Willow Hill, Mrs. Cleda Worthey and Mrs. Fern Meeks of Newton, Mrs. Martha Cramer and Mrs. Jewell Utley of Hammond, Ind., and Mrs. Retha Curtis and Mrs. Dora Weck of Paris; and several grandchildren.
