Stephen Woodrow Kelly, 61, of Valdosta passed away on August 2, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on June 9, 1954 to Mildred and the late Harold Kelly. He was a graduate of Lowndes High School and for the last 29 years he was employed by the Packaging Corporation of America. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Kelly is survived by his mother, Mildred Estelle Garrett Kelly of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Rodney Tenery of Quitman; two granddaughters, Gracie and Mikayla Tenery of Quitman; a sister and brother-in-law, Regina and Ron Ray of Augusta, GA; two nieces, Kimberly and Michael Barton of Augusta, GA, Jessica and Josh Wheeler of Atlanta, GA; four nephews, Ben and Felicia Kelly, Christopher and Victoria Kelly, all of Atlanta, GA, Steven Ray and Logan Ray, both of Augusta, GA; five great nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Harold Kelly.
Services for Stephen Woodrow Kelly will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2014 in the Carson McLane Chapel. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
