Charles Tilton Acree, 76, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his home due to complications of an illness. Charles was born on December 29, 1938 in Ray County, Mo to Charlie and Freida (Jeffers) Acree.
Survivors include; 2 sons, Johnny and Marsha Acree of Hardin, Mo and Duane and Janet Acree of Kansas City, Mo; five daughters , Kathy and George Robinson of Richmond, Mo, Carrie Smith and significant other Steve Brown of Hardin, Mo, Lisa and Hallie “Pete” O’Dell of Cameron, Mo, Tammy Morton and significant other Bill Payne of Weaubleau, Mo and Kristi Roberts and significant other Andy Palmer of Richmond, Mo; 3 sisters, Pat Euper of Richmond, Mo, Carolyn McGill of Richmond, Mo and Mary Bates and her husband, Ronnie of Richmond, MO, two brothers, Revere Acree of Richmond, Mo, Henry Acree of Richmond, Mo; twelve grandchildren, Amy Simons, Brandon Acree, Justin O’Dell, Cody Acree, Christopher Morton, Joshua Smith, Michael Roberts, Tyler O’Dell, Mathew Scobee, Carmen Wiggins, Selena Smith and Travis Robinson; and 5 great-grandchildren , Bentley Acree, Burton Acree, Brynlee Acree, Nathan Tarrants and Baylie O’Dell, and several nieces & nephews also survive. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Acree; half-brother, Bill Acree; half- sister, Virginia Acree; and a grandson, Dustin Morton. Charles lived most of his life in Ray County, MO, before moving to California and Arizona. He returned to Ray County in 1988. Charles especially enjoyed fishing the muddy Missouri river with his son, Johnny and grandsons, Brandon and Cody Acree, then sharing in a fish fry with them and great grandchildren Bentley Acree, Burton Acree and Brynlee Acree. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Charles T. Acree memorial fund. Memorial graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Sunny Slope Cemetery in Richmond, Mo.
