4th Great Grandson of Wolfert Gerritsen Van Kouwenhoven, who settled in New Amsterdam in 1625 and who, in 1636, became the 1st Dutch settler on what is now Long Island.(Having founded a settlement in the area of Brooklyn known as Flatlands.)
