The Rev. Dempsey C. Cooper officiated services in the Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, and burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Deupree was born March 11, 1906 in Arkinda, Ark. She moved from Idabel to the Hugo area in 1942 and lived here since that time. She was a member of the Clayton Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Dwight Downs of Hugo; two step-sons, Joe M. Deupree of Coffeyville, Kan. and Paul Deupree of Hugo; one stepdaughter, Belle Ray of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, Bobby G. Cooke of Fort Worth, Texas and Lavern Cooke of Natchez, La.; one sister, Ruth Stinebaugh of Idabel; three grandchildren, Traci, Kelli and Lisa Downs.
