Tracey A. Smith passed on August 5, 2015 after a courageous battle against cancer.

She was born March 8, 1961 to Anthony and Sally Monaco in Watertown, NY. She graduated from General Brown High School in 1979 and shortly after married the love of her life William Smith. She was the most loving and caring person and was always helping someone in some capacity. It did not matter if they were family or not, once Tracey discovered someone had a need, she solved it. She was also the family historian; Tracey took pictures constantly and maintained a detailed collection of family and friends that has provided a living collage of her immediate and extended family with years of memories to cherish. She was also an extremely organized person and kept detailed records of everything.

Whatever she did she did it with dedication and passion from her scrap booking, collection of angels and photography to her research into a variety of topics to include medicine, using a computer, construction and finances. She was someone who educated herself on a variety of topics and although she never went on to obtain an advanced degree; she was an expert in many areas. Although somewhat shy and reserved, she was a people person and made everyone feel welcome.

Besides her husband William (Billy), she was the devoted mother of Holly Smith of Watertown and her constant companion her Golden Doodle Chloe, sisters Toni Sue Washer, Fort Worth ,Texas, Dani (Howard) Ganter, Glen Park, Jana (Bernard) Parody, Dexter, Claire Monaco, Lowville, Nicole (Dan) Buckley, Glen Park and brother Craig (Tina) Monaco, Adams and her sister in laws Yvonne (Mike) Murray, Black River and Linda (Jim) Storrs, Brownville and many Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Suzette Cumoletti and niece Michelle Cumoletti.

We will all miss her brash sense of humor, her devotion to all her family and her ability to solve the impossible. Heaven has certainly gained an angel who had already earned her wings a long time ago. Arrangements are with Reed and Benoit Funeral Home; however there will be no calling hours and a graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14th at Brookside Cemetery.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Niemen-Pick Disease by either going to the site at www.nnpdf.org listing donation for Type A/B in the name of Tracey Smith or send donations to NNPDF, Box 310, Fort Atkinson, WI, 53538 noting the same information.
