BEACON FALLS — A memorial service for Miss Alice Ruby Magnuson, 86, of Wolfe Avenue, will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at United Church, 69 Wolfe Avenue. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck, in the spring.
Miss Magnuson died Sunday, February 13, at Waterbury Hospital. She was born in Beacon Falls, November 12, 1907, daughter of the late Albin and Julia (Lundstrom) Magnuson. She retired in 1981 as a private duty nurse and formerly worked as a school nurse at The Taft School in Walertown, and as a nurse at Waterbury Hospital. She graduated from Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing and was a member of United Church of Beacon Falls. She was a lifelong Beacon Falls resident.
She leaves a sister, Miss Charlotte A. Magnuson, of Beacon Falls, with whom she lived.
