BLADENSBURG — Shirley J. “Nani” Schwartz, 77, of Bladensburg, passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at The Hospice House in Ashland.
She was born April 5, 1938, in Zanesville, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Dessie (Hambel) Allman.
Shirley is a member of The Church of God.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jon “Tony” Schwartz; her five children, Mike (Lynette) Schwartz, Shell (Ron) Bostic, Marla (Rick) Johnson, Mark (Kelly) Schwartz and Matt (Chris) Schwartz all of Bladensburg; a sister, Pat (Dale) Wells of Newark; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many close extended family members.
Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Faye Ann Osborne; an infant brother, Jimmy Allman and a son-in-law, Dan Divan.
Friends may call Monday, from 3-7 p.m., at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m., with Pastors Matt Schwartz and Seth Harding officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Bladensburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to North Central Ohio Hospice, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, OH 44805.
