Kara grew up in Gilman, IL, where she graduated from the Iroquois West High School in 1988. Kara worked at Casey's General Store in Onarga and Crescent City for many yrs as an assistant manager.
While living in the Crestview/Baker, FL area she was employed by the Exprezit Gas Stations as a manager, she was co leader of her daughter's Girl Scout Troop and she was also an active member of Parent All Star Cheer Organization.
In Jan 2006 she started a day care service in her home where the children in her care called her "Miss Kara"
Her passions included gardening, stamping and antiquing
