As a child she and her family moved to Macon, GA, where she attended Mt. de Sales High School and Wesleyan College. After her marriage to Dennis W. Adams, Sr. in July 1948, they lived in upstate New York and several South Georgia cities. They settled in Atlanta where she began and built an extensive career in residential real estate spanning over 30 years.
Before Dennis Sr.'s passing they celebrated 51 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of five children; the late Dennis Adams Jr and wife Juanita, Angela Mayer and husband Greg, Richard Adams and wife Dede, Ann Thompson and husband Chip, Patrick Adams and wife Perrie. She is also survived by grandchildren Jessica LeBlanc and husband Dan, Geoffrey Adams, Kate and Matt Mayer, Daniel and William Adams, Chelsey Berend and husband Brian, Jarod Thompson, Michaela, Declan, and Dylan Adams, and great-grandchildren Lucy Adams, Marc and Timothy LeBlanc and Lucy Berend.
She leaves behind a legacy of deep love for her family, kindness to others and a strong Catholic faith.
Funeral services will be open to family and friends and will be held at Sandy Springs Chapel at 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Visitation is from 1-3 pm followed by a mass and a burial at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
