Harold P. Alspaugh

Lived in Boulder from 1995 to present and died of congestive heart failure on November 6, 2002. Harold was born on January 1907, in Amanda, Ohio. He was the son of Irving E. Alspaugh and Etta Haas Alspaugh. He married Vina Bell McFarland on August 1, 1934. Survivors include his son Donn P. Alspaugh and daughter-in-law Kathleen D. Alspaugh, both of Boulder; granddaughters Ann A. Sauer and Amanda L. Alspaugh, both of Orem, Utah and Cynthia A. Peratt, of Beckenridge; and eight great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, and two brothers, Ralph B. Alspaugh and Dr. Donald J. Alspaugh. Harold was a graduate of Amanda, Ohio, high school and received bacherlor's and master's degrees and a PhD from Ohio State University. He was a professor at Temple University in Philadelphia, V.P. and Marketing Director for Radio Corp. of America in Camden, N.J., V.P. and Marketing Director for Heinz food company in Pittsburgh; and professor at Eastern Tennessee State University. He was a member of the American Marketing Association.

His special interests included contract bridge, in which he was a Life Master. Harold was a totally devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be dearly missed by all who survive him.

There will be a private service for immediate family only. The family respectfully requests no flowers. Crist Mortuary is handling arrangements.
